Curt was born in the cornfields of southern Illinois, earning his undergrad from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in 2010. He made his way into Active Duty Army service in 2011 as a Signal (communications) Officer. Sensing a call to ministry, Curt pursued his masters from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, also transferring from Active Duty to the South Carolina Army National Guard. He completed his studies in 2019, taking his first call as an Assistant Pastor in Colorado Springs, also serving in the Colorado National Guard as a Chaplain in the 117th Space Battalion. He came back to PHPC in the fall of 2022 to serve as an Assistant Pastor and continues to serve part-time as a SC Guard Chaplain in the 2-151 Aviation Battalion.
Curt and his wife Precious were married in 2010. Together they have one son (toddler), Leif. Curt enjoys film, fitness, and travel, and proudly wears the “nerd” patch on his sleeve. Most of all, however, he finds special joy in seeing people come to Christ and grow in faith, especially our young ones!
